Chinese calligraphy is the stylized artistic writing of the written Chinese language. It is a highly regarded artform whose expression, both in content as well as the style of the writing, reveals to the reader and audience much about the author. Chinese calligraphy is offered as an elective to not only teach students the basics of Chinese calligraphy, but also to help cultivate a mind of peace and tranquility.
